sunroof still rattles ??

I am just curious :

(1) Does the sunroof still rattle on 04 4runner ??

(2) For 03 4runner, I heard that Toyota has a TSB for it now. Not sure if that fix works and if that's similar to the one that someone posted here.

I had the TSB done on mine and it seems to have fixed the problem. Basically, it's extra insulation to keep the side trim from rattling.

Haven't heard a peep out of my 04.

Except when it adjusts the wind deflector, which is normal. I was just surprised because I didn't know it did that.

Mine did it for about a day so i gave it a few good shots and it stopped. I TSBed myself...

I punched it a few times... lol

You have to bring it to the dealer to do the TSB. You can even reference the TSB to make sure they know what you are talking about so there is no confusion.

Seems like alot of peole are getting this done. I brought mine in about a month ago, they confirmed it and ordered the parts but they were on backorder.

I'm still waiting.

Didn't do it myself -- I took it in for several minor things, and one of them was the sunroof rattle. The reproduced the problem then determined that the TSB was the appropriate fix and told me afterward what they had done.

The service department I've been working with is really great to explain what they have done, try to reproduce the problem, etc., so I try to let them handle as much as I can -- it really helps to build a good working relationship with the service manager, because he/she can be a great help.
