Sunroof sun screen

Anybody try to create a sunscreen that will still allow the wind to come thru. Something permanent. Sounds strange, but it would be nice to open the hatch & then pull a screen across to shade that scorching sun.

My other car has vents on the sliding cover so you can tilt without having the cover open, they should all come like this. I’m probsbly going to get mine tinted super dark instead.

I had the ceramic type tint film put on my sun roof, it really blocks the heat and using the tilt feature may give you what you want.

I also had the ceramic film on the front windshield, it helps our weak air conditioning. The dashboard is not blazing hot anymore.

good god dont get me started on the weak ass fans. I sat in a 2014 sienna and that thing blows category 5 hurricanes compared to our 4runner.

Even my basic-as-could-be 4cyl 2015 Tacoma (traded in for the 4runner because the Taco was annoying in DC traffic) had better HVAC because you could set the dials between detents. Not sure if the blower was any better, but there was simply less interior to heat/cool. To be honest I've probably adjusted the HVAC settings in the 4runner more in the last month than I have in my '97 M3 (automatic climate control) since I bought it in 2006...

Window tint for at least the front side windows is high on my list.

I did the same and it has really helped a lot.

Velcro and some thin screen. The rough side of the Velcro will stick to the headliner easily. Fold it up and put it away when not needed.
