Sunroof

I was driving the other day with the roof open, and every once in a while I can hear the sunroof motor running for a sec or two. Has this happened to anyone else. It is not the same sound as that thing that moves up and down with the spring.

At what speeds? The integrated wind deflector drops at about 55 mph and raises again at about 45 mph.

That's the only noise I hear (except wind noise, of course).

Yeah that's suppose to happen. But mine raises at a 55mph and lowers at 45. It does this to better deflect the air at higher speeds.

I was definitely on the highway so I was going bt. 40-60 mph. Is that wind defector connected to a motor depending on speed. I was only aware of a spring. Where can I find info? Thanks.

I'll look it up first thing when I get home. I thought I was losing my mind. :dunno:

I thought it was the other way around, so that it created less noise at higher speeds......and I'm out of state so I don't have the truck to test.

Deflector goes down at 50-55 and goes up at below 45. Drive with the moonroof open most of the time now :) It is to avoid buffeting at some speeds and reduce windnoise.
