Super Loud Noise, need help!

Don't cheap out on the bearing. I'd get a quality one from Whistler Bearings in Denver. That way you'll know it's not an eBay counterfeit. Also try KQL autoparts in Denver. You can get a used OEM assembly at a very low price.

How did you confirm that you have a bad bearing or are you guessing?

Im guessing just from research of the certain sound i hear. But ive asked my mom to ride with me, and even some guys at the shop rode my 4runner but they didnt get above 50 MPH, but everyone tells me they cant here what i here, or that it is just tire noise. But i dont think im crazy, the sound wasnt there before. But ill have to take the time to find a good mechanic to diagnose the problem. Im just hoping my tires can get me back up to idaho without a problem lol. 8 hour trip

Not to hi-jack your thread but how do you know it's coming from the rear? Did you test the rear by shaking the rear tire off the ground? I too am starting to hear a growling noise, but I've changed both my front bearings Nov 17 and Feb 18 but I still hear the noise. It could be the tires, riding on KO2's but they look to have lots of tread on them.

I'm just curious how you determined it's the back. I want to see if there's a way I can check myself and see if my rears are going as well.
