Supercharged and Snorkel Which AIR BOX?

What airbox are you snorkeled supercharged guys running? will the factory 2019 trd air box work with magnuson SC or is the
aFe Momentum GT Cold Air Intake System The better choice, I want to do this "one and done" if possible. Thanks a head of time. Im told the TRD PRO box wont work with My Magnuson so I need to find one that fits SC and Snorkel. Thanks fellas

I'd just keep the OEM box to run the snorkel. It will work fine with the SC.

the trd box does work with magnuson? I ask becasue the AFE does not tie to snorkel at all, and I was told trd air box would NOT work with magnuson. But I have no clue as of yet Im finally just getting there

Going to say no since there was never a TRD branded blower for the dual VVT-i 1GR.

The TRD uses a silicone gasket to tie to the original intake hole in the fender, if you find a snorkel that ties into that opening it would work, most snorkels require you to cut a larger intake hole

I think i can mod the ARE airbox to work the CAI is made to run with supercharger just need it to tie to snorkel. I cant find the silicone gasket part number Im wondering if its just caulking gun and silicone time.

I used the TRD silicone gasket with my AFE, as far as I know I'm the only one. It's not a perfect fit, but if you spend the time and silicone it I'm sure you could make it work

So Heres what I did, I have the TRD airbox and with only 17k on it, its still damged So I ordered a new TRD air box and an HPS silicone Intake arm and with these 3 airboxes surely I cant make something fit. lol

What is the point of of the "cold air intake" if you have a snorkel bringing in outside air? Unless you just don't have the stock airbox?

I was unaware that HPS made a connection hose like this for the 4Runner. My only hesitation is does the smaller hose hookups clear the supercharger?

I've never seen one or else I would have ordered it over the K&N tube I just got in.

I looked it up, they must’ve just started producing them. It’s part number 57-2046.

Pretty sure I already mentioned its a TRD PRO with TRD PRO airbox which isnt stock and wont work according to Magnuson

When I put my blower on I had to go back to the stock air box. The TRD one will work but you will have to route the breather hoses a little different. I didn’t like doing that so I went back to stock. My only hesitation with the HPS intake hose is if the breather connection points are far enough away from the supercharger. I also have the AFE intake made for the blower but I’m still running the stock air box.
