Here is an article in the December 2006 Sport Compact Car featuring the TRD X-Runner. A supercharger kit looks to be in the future for the V6 owners. Hopefully they'll have a kit for the 4Runner but if not, it's at least a start.

Those are weak numbers in the 1/4 for a 400hp truck considering I've seen an X-Runner with a filter and exhaust run a 15.7 up here at 5800ft asl. Those 1/4 mile times should easily be in the 13s.

I think 1 whole second off a 1/4 is decently good. (assuming stock everything else.)

what worries me is the braking issue.

but what i favor in thier "research and development" is that they managed to put an intercooler with a roots type s/c.

not real common for roots style.

16.2 is pretty weak for stock since in the real world there's people with V6 Runners in the high 15s.
Stock X-Runner's 1/4 mile times in the car rags have been around 15 flat so I'm guessing Toyota tested it at a much higher altitude and that 400hp X-Runner should be in the low 13s.
