Just called them again,it's a free call TRD .....straight from the horses mouth ....no plans for a supercharger for the 5th Gen 4Runners.
They said the TRD CAI is available for the 5ths now though.
The word is.... URD is working on one for the dual vvt-i engines in the 5ths and he said around April!
yea thats y i asked you guys who are 4 runner enthusiasts and owners if you here of any coming out..
i searched before i asked and saw there are none availble atm.

It's too bad that TRD isn't planning on a SC for the 5th gen but it is not really surprising. It's a pretty low volume vehicle and they didn't do one for the 4th gen even though all they would have needed to do is a new fit kit and then use the main components from the Tacoma/FJ setup.
URD wrote the book on getting the 3.4 SC working right so I am confident they will produce a nice setup. However there is something nice in having the components done by TRD especially if the vehicle ever needed to go to the dealership.
Hmm 450 hp taco or 5th gen 4R?

They definately made one for the 4th generation 4runners.

A "Definitely" would need to be backed up with a little proof????? TRD never sold a Supercharger for the 4th Gens. as far as I know.
They made one for the FJ and Taco with the 4.0L vvt-i that could possibly be retrofitted to a 4th Gen 4.0L V6.

It will void the drivetrain warranty and associated parts so it is a proceed at your own risk.

That sucks. I could have sworn they had changed their mind...but I guess not.
I've got a KN Aircharger, but I keep thinking I should have waited and gotten the TRD as it is a true CAI and enclosed (no water can get in). Would it be worthwhile to replace my KN for the extra maybe 3hp I'd get?
Hell, I'd sell my KN to anyone for $150 + shipping (I paid $300).
As with all aftermarket parts, it will only void the warranty if a failure or something necessitating a repair was directly caused by the aftermarket part.
If you put a URD SC kit on and your master brake cylinder fails (or something unrelated) then the manufacturer has to honor your warranty by law.
