supercharger info searches

I am original owner of my 97 sr5. How do I find more complete thread on supercharger install and mods. A couple hours of "supercharger" search here and not much help so far. I have a 2nd gen to install. 5spd manual trans. But I use it to tow 4500lb travel trailer. ie I tow a brickwall. Local guy said don't do it his Taco was just really hard on gas towing supercharged.
Any good solid advice here?

I was trying to find out how to search this forum efficently. I'd like to see mulitple threads to try and figure out what the minimum mods are that I have to do to install this. Not that I don't appreciate your replies because I do. Information overload can be good.

Simple answer: what is the minimum I have to do to run this 2nd gen super on my M/T runner? Best boost for this application? This poor baby only gets used for towing the 4500lbs camper.
Or is the supercharger a bad idea for towing?

I'd also like to switch it over to manual locking hubs on the front.

Is there a simple way to shrink pictures to fit in the signature line/avitar? Looked for this and could not find it either.
I'm a blue collar guy who plays with computor for fun, learning by trial and ooops.

As an aside the company I work for has a 97 SR5 that has had 3 kids learn to drive in it, virtually every employee (about 50) use it for business/site work AND is still going strong at 483,000kms (over 300,000 miles). Biggest (only?) repair to date - PS rack.

From what i see it will be a fortune to retro fit manual locking hubs, you will be better off if you rebuild your engine before you put a S/C at 300k miles, most say 100k is really the max you want before you S/C it. Likely if you are asking how to install a supercharger you are not competant enough to do it. And you will also need the 7th injector kit to safely run the Supercharger. I see no reason why the S/C will negatively effect your towing power.

Relatively simple, but you'll have to learn to use photobucket. Upload the photo to the site, crop, and resize, then paste the IMG link in your sig.

The 300k runner is one of my employer's company cars, just amazed that any truck could go through all that and still keep ticking perfectly.

Mine is just shy of 100k. And it gets to sleep 8-9 months of the year.

BTW a few Tacomas here have had supers installed at 300k+ (at dealer) and are still going strong.

I am not asking HOW TO.

I am asking about how to search this site, towing with a supercharger and recommended mods.

Just out of curiosity, if all you're doing is towing with your 4runner, why not get a better suited towing vehicle? Not that I don't love the idea of supercharging yours, but if it sits for 9 months out of the year, it doesn't quite make sense to me. A larger V8 will do better pulling that load and be a lot more stable, especially if it's a longer wheelbase vehicle. Not trying to discourage the s/c install, just curious...

Longer wheelbase and heavier would be nice. Pictures are from July 2006. 4runner is fixed and has towed another 40k kms. Trailer was quite dead, was replace with the same make and model.
Looking at different (bigger) trailer soon so larger tow vehicle is likely. I'm waiting for Toyota to diesel the Tacoma or Tundra. Or I'll be stuck with a domestic diesel. I don't want gas to tow heavy. The supercharger is just a thought. I got it the same time as the parts to fix my runner.

4runner then would be my "classic car/hotrod"toy running about 10-12lbs boost. If there's going to be a toy car here it might as well go like stink.

PS I don't always make sense to me either.
