So I recently installed the TRD S/C on my '97 SR5. It had about 125000 miles on it, and now another 500 with the S/C. The install went great and only took about 5 hours to do including some prep work. But I just have a couple questions.
That friggin power steering line: where the heck does it go? I can't find anything online about it, and there are no other vaccuum ports to attach to. Do I just cap it? (The intake is the stock setup with the deckplate). Any thoughts?
My other question is in regards to the performance. Obviously, with the ECU adjusting, the first couple of days were a bit rough ie. the tranny was shifting all over the place. But after a couple of days, the results were tremendous, and I couldnt be happier. In the last two days however, there have been some problems when running it cold. When I drive to work in the morning there is a large hill right by my house, and when trying to accelerate up it, it makes almost no acceleration at all. Even with the pedal on the floor the engine feels like its struggling to even reach 3000 rpm.
At first I was worried that it was the transmission, but it does the same thing in N. When revved, it is not smooth at all, and feels like its sputtering and sluggish all the way to redline. However after its been driven for a while, everything runs properly. So Im at a total loss as to what is happening, and have not driven since to try and see whats wrong, and prevent any damage if any is being done. Any thoughts?
Thanks guys
