I always inflate mine prior, but I'm sure it's fine either way. I would just spot check them to make sure they won't pinch.

Well, the job is done. I opted to order the 4107's and try and sell my 4135's. I'm sure both would have worked, but what the heck.
I ended up cutting the bump stop right down (all 4 segments) as if I was installing the 4135's - but then installed the little spacer that came with the 4107's. Nice fit. This was my first dive into a rear suspension project. I went ahead and dropped both shocks, the sway bar and the pan hard bar. Loosened the brake line fittings too. It took a bit longer than expected - maybe 4hrs - but it's all good now. I mounted the valves right on the 7 pin round OEM trailer wiring connector under the bumper.

EDIT: PS - the whole reason I did this mod was to add a motorcycle hitch carrier, and wanted to level things out. I loaded the carrier and bike today - like 10-15PSI in the helpers - and it's sitting nice and level.

Yea with this 4107 kit you have zero space above bag right? I don't see an issue filling post load. Also, when I was testing my bags (I still haven't had a load on them yet), they don't actually touch the coils it doesn't look like until maybe 10-15 psi. I'm thinking since the bag fills the entire void that it might take less psi to level a load.

Yep, pretty much no gap. Not sure that's a good thing - we'll see. I noticed a ride change right off even with minimal pressure. Not bad, just a bit stiffer. I can always pull the spacer back out, but I think it makes for a little protection around the air line fitting. (although as most kits don't come with it, who knows)
I'm at 15PSI with my moto on board. I'll find out this week - road trip time!

Also for what it's worth, I emailed firestone directly and just got a reply back. They said to add air after the load has been added. So that clears that up.

What are you measuring from ground to fender at center if axle with 5psi? I'm at 38.75".

Hey jminz - really sorry about not getting back sooner. I pretty much hit the road the day we last posted so I've been traveling until yesterday.
I'm right at 39" on the passenger side - more like 38.5" on the driver side (with 5psi). 275/65R18 tires. I do have a leak in the drivers side though. I was running about 20psi on both sides with my moto hanging off the back (roughly 400 lbs total). So really close to your measurements.

I think it's definitely at the bag fitting. Need to get under there and do some leak testing with soapy water - it's just tough to get my hands up there as the taller bag/spacer fill the void so well
