Surco roof rack?

I just got a Surco roof rack of craigslist for 40 bucks, I couldn't resist. I don't really love the way the Surco looks but, 40 dollars. It's kinda big for the t4r but o'well. What ya think?

I like it! It looks like it sits nice and low. Good price too. I got all the stuff ready to send btw, I'll stop by the post office on my way to work.
 
Great find!!! Ive been contemplating a rack for mine, but don't really want to spend $150+ bucks for something I might just take off.
 
wow what a nice find! im in the market for one of those for look purposes, and i never get results, what did u type into craigslist to get that find?

I just searched for 4runner stuff in my local city. But I would love to know how to search for certain stuff in all kinds of area's instead of just city by city...takes forever.
 
When i was contemplating mud tires it was between that firestone mt and the cooper stt. That firestone tire has great reviews and pairing them with the fj wheels sounds like a great deal!
 
looks great. a little off tilt but looks awesome. And the bigger the better, the racks for the 4runners are fairly small for my taste. So don't worry that yours is too big, mine runs all the way from the back to over half way over my sunroof.

I love love love my Destiniation M/T's. I've had them a year now and there's still a ton of tread left!

I have the Surco roof rack with my spare tire and hi-lift mounted. However, ...., even though I really like the looks, and being able to remove the spare out from under the bottom, I have had some issues. Mostly is that it rattles - BAD. Another is that with my lift, it really sets it up high, and on some trails with over-hanging limbs, it has got caught a few times. I am considering selling mine if anyone is seriously interested, let me know, ...., but not for $40. This has the spare tire mount (costs $80), and the hi-lift mount (costs $40). If interested, let me know.

Not sure yet. I just took it off about an hour ago and washed it down. It comes with the spare tire mount and hi-lift mounting brackets. Let me take some pictures and post them, but it is not even a year old, and like new. It is the 45 x 60 rack, 5" tall. Right now off the top of my head, I would probably be asking $150-200 for the whole deal, plus shipping. Let me do some research and see if that is reasonable, and I will get back with you. I will give you first shot at it though.
