suspension and light questions.

Okay so I'm looking at doing a 2" suspension lift on the fiances 02 4runner and have decided on spacers for the front and I think 906 and billy's in the rear.
My question is do those springs ride okay? It's a pavement princess and sees hardly any offroad and doesn't tow anything besides some recovery gear and a sub in the back along with getting groceries.

Reason for the spacers up front is because once I sas mine she's getting the coilovers and tubular upper control arms.

As for the light question I'm looking for what people are doing or using for turn signals. I've seen people modify the panel under the headlight and some that have modified there park light housing to do both park light and turn in 1.
Does anyone have any good write ups on something along those lines or part numbers for stuff?

Personally, I wouldn't waste the money on front spacers. Since you're just gonna rip em out at some point in the future.

How many miles on her truck. If over 150k miles and orginal ball joints I would advise against spacers.

I have some 3" fronts I would not even send you free.

All maintenance is up to date. I'm not worried about spacers up front and have run then on plenty of other things.

:lol::lol::lol::lol::lol:

Might want to rethink that boss :biggrin2:

Rethink the sas? Ive thought about going full solo motorsports but I'm not racing and like going slow. Plus the flex brah.

So what would you reccomend that costs the same as spacers and attains a 2" lift in the front? Because I'm sure not spending money on things that will be pulled out and either given or sold really cheap away.

So besides the criticism on front spacers is there any help on the actual questions asked?

Awesome! Cause other things are not these 4runners. I have also ran spacers on other things.

Here is what happened to me after installing spacers on high mileage lower ball joints. Spacers wear out all those new OEM parts you have on her truck. If you installed non OEM I would not gets spacers.

Obviously I'm not going to get answers to spacific questions I asked so I'll play along... since you seem to assume I'm incompetent tell me where you running top plate spacers or coil spacers.. there is a difference to how they affect your suspension.

I have not run the 906's so I don't know. I run the Toytec superflex coils and I think the ride nice. Just be aware that they can coil slap if you don't run isolators.

As for the turn signals, I have seen it done a few times. Take the turn signal housing and cut out the piece that holds the bulb. Then drill a hole in the parking light housing and retrofit the bulb holder into the parking light housing. Then get a plastic adhesive/weld product to hold it in place. I would run a bead of silicone around it too just to make sure it is sealed and water can get in.

Thank you. And when I was looking at the bulbs in the turn signal they look huge and not sure I could get both the park bulb and turn bulb in the same housing.

You may have to change out the bulb. I'm not sure. I'll ask the guy that I know that has done it a few times.

Im so sorry, most people asking simple questions that can be searched and answered usually need a little more help. Since you are obviously competent in lifting trucks and going SAS I should have just answered the questions.

IMO the front will ride super stiff with the spacers.

The rear 906's should not sag and ride pretty nice. Little stiffer than my liking but they will ride and handle some weight.

Just laughing that you said using tubular upper arms and sas in the same sentence

Oh. I did the whole mid travel setup on mine when my whole front suspension needed work. I didn't have the option for down time like I do now so it's getting ford 9s front and rear.

Your right I could have searched better. I tried reading the lift tech but when I'm working 60+ hours and devoting other time to my family and hobbies I was hoping easy questions would net fast answers.

Man you're a snotty little shit when you don't hear what you want to be told.

Everyones opinion was pretty damn clear. You want a fast way to lift the front now, even though you're just going to rip out whatever you do, and install coilovers.

You answered your own question. It seems to be your impatience and attitude in your way.
