Suspension(?) creak when making sharp right turn

I'm thinking of buying a friends '94 Forerunner. It's in very good condition, low miles (88K), except for one thing. When you make a sharp right turn, such as into a parking space, there is creaking/groaning sound coming from the front wheel area. I don't know much about cars, but it sounds like it's from the suspension. Any ideas what this could be and what it might cost to get fixed?

that creaking is normal. the steering stopper covers are worn or just fell off -it's just a little plastic "cap" that goes over the steering stopper bolt. couple dollars at a dealership. there's 2 per side (front/rear of the tire) take a peek under the front and you'll see which "bolt" the covers go on/where is rubs.

yep that should fix it right up. or, you could just dab some grease on the stoppers, a bit messy but will quiet them down:)
here's a pic

My 04 does that when I make a u-turn on un-even ground, and the wheel is turned and the shock compressed at the same time.... Kind of annoying
