Well, this took a bit of time and organizing to get done. The truck just came back from the toyota dealership for the steering relay rod recall and alignment. Here's whats been done suspension wise:
1) rebushed the entire truck with energy suspension urethane bushings (control arms front and back, sway bars, etc.)
2)motor and trans mounts
3)new upper and lower ball joints, greased with M1 syn
4)Moog cc255 rear coil springs
5)Sway-A-Way torsion bars(25mm)
6)factory shocks all the way around
Since the truck is driven by my retired father and never gets driven "off-road" , I was looking for improved on-road stability for him. He seems to like it alot more which is a good thing. No more nose dives, vibrations, poor handling, vastly improved on-road stability and tracking. I think if someone is going to run stiffer torsion bars , it needs to be balanced out with better or newer springs in the rear. I found the new rear coils springs really soften out the new bars. This overhaul seem to rid the truck of the typical sag that people talk about. Torching out the last of the control arm bushings was a bear. This was definitely the trucks year, as I also installed a new factory rear exhaust section and new rear brake cylinders. Hope this helps some out there.
Regards
