So I was able to source front and rear shock/struts, springs, and UCAs from a 5th gen TE for free with less than 10k.
I am currently driving a 2008 SR5 4x2.
I have read many previous posts on this but I am now confused and worried about what I have gotten myself into.
Both of the struts are part number 48510-35440
Both of the Springs are color coded White/Orange
From my research, this means these came off a KDSS Equipped TE.
My understanding is I will most likely have a decent amount of drive lean. Is this true, however? I know I could buy the thin spacer from toytec, however, if I was to add that spacer could I also add the Daystar budget boost?
My overall goal is to replace my sagging suspension (@170k on stock suspension) and level out the vehicle while also gaining a bit of lift for off road purposes.
I had already purchased the budget boost kit and have read it will work fine with the 5th gen coilovers.
Would you all suggest I use the toytec spacer as well to counteract that lean?
I would like to have everything I need before I tear apart the truck and am unhappy with the final appearance.
Also I am planning on installing the Tacoma TRD rear shocks (48530-AD051) with the 4runner TE springs. I know I will need to change out the bushing, luckily they were already pressed out when I purchased the shocks.
Would you suggest using the Tacoma rear shocks or the 4Runner TE rear shocks (48530-35251)?
If anyone has done this exact mod I would love to hear it. I know many have used 5th gen or Tacoma Up front but I can't find anything about the TE suspension on a 4th Gen.
