suspension question... im kinda confused

yes i have read the sticky about lifting and about 10,000 other threads but just have a few questions regarding my specific situation.

ok so i had bilstien shocks and struts installed recently. here is the front serial number F4-BE-D558-TO. not sure what series this is... cant read what the back shock says but im guessing it will be the matching pair with the front. so my question is will OME 881 & 906 work with these bilstiens?

Im not the OME expert, but Ive heard OME shocks/struts should be kept with the OME coils...

and I dont see how the fronts and backs could be the same part # at all... the front strut is completely different than the back shock...
not even close...

I agree, they might be "matched" to compliment eachother as in valving, but the front and rear are totally different styles - strut inside a coil (front) vs. a stand-alone shock that's separate from the coil (rear). I know people do run Billies with OME coils and seem to like them ok, but if you adjust the Billies too high, I would bet the 881s will destroy your CVs.
 
yeah i didnt mean same part number at all. sorry for the confusion.
soo what are my options with these shocks?
 
Since you have up to 2.5" of lift available via the front strut adjustable spring perch, I'd use '99 coils up front, or just keep your stockers.

In the rear, I'd use either OME 906's, 890's or some LC 7 wraps...all depending on how much lift you want. Those shocks will work fine with a variety of springs, pretty much anything rated for the correct weight will work great. You just don't want to use any of the heavy duty OME springs...the ones rated for extra weight.
 
I'd say Tundra coils or the Eibach coils from Toytec in the front and LC coils or OME's in the rear. I'm sure you can run OME's with the Bilstein's but if you don't already have the OME's then why risk it, plus I'm big on Toyota OEM parts and that includes my suspension!
 
Marcel Take a look at ChildrenOfBodoms build. He has a very nice 2.7L 2wd build. all he did was the 99 Tall coils and his looks really sharp. Look for his threads, he also just posted before and after pics in a thread "02 SR5 want larger tire" or something like that today.
