Suspension, Rack, & Shifter

I AM SAM

Good morning, I hope everyone had a great 4th of July. I'm starting to make some progress with my mods, just thought I would share some pics. I absolutely love the new Icon suspension system, it's like driving a new truck. This set-up (thanks BLFAN) took the hard nose dive and sway completely out of the ride, very nice. :trophy: Still waiting on sliders. :(

Lookin Good!!

Thanks, it's always a work in progress but I absolutely love it!

Also, I'm selling my ToyTec Spacers if anyone is interested. 100 bucks and if you're not local, S&H. Tube steps to go too as soon as sliders come in if anyone is interested.

Any problems with your gear shifter install? I just got mine today and it doesn't fit. If I screw it tight, the bottom is too low and it gets in the way of the gates, not allowing me to shift. If I unscrew it a bit to allow me to shift it is all loose and wobbly. Not happy about it at all.

that's exactly what i was advising people of in this thread...
the OEM FJ shift knob comes apart, making it easier to modify it. can't say the same for the Icon knob as i've never seen one.

Lookin good Sam!!!

Love the rack too!

Thanks BFLAN! I appreciate you're help along with everyone else's input! As I look back, I should of had you make me sliders like yours.....I'm still waiting for my Shrockworks...

Just to clarify, are we talking transmission shifter or tranfer case shifter? There are two of different shifters for the transmission, I had Mike at Icon send me both to try out and I sent the "long" one back. The shorty fits perfect........didn't think I'd ever say that. :lmao:

Looks GREAT! :)

Which Tube Step do you have installed?

Thanks guys, I really appreciate the positive feedback! The tube steps that I'm selling are by Westin. As I understand it, if you call them they will tell you they don't have any. That's because the brackets don't fit (as is). Mine have been modified to fit the SR5. Come and get'em! for a fee...

Hi Sam,

Thanks for the info. How much ground clearance to you have? Measured from the lowest point on the tube or bracket. Did you mod the bracket, or Westin did?

Just a throught. I want to maintain as high of a ground clearance. I went to Westin Web Site, and they offer for the TE as well (I have the Limited). Want the straight Tubes like yours, but there website shows the right ends. I would order the Brackets for TE, and cut a lower notch on the bottom rocker panel.

I liked what BFLAN made as well, but I'm afraid (even with non-slip grip) that kids or adults would loose their footing.

I'm not sure what the ground clearance is but it would be different that yours due to the 3" lift I have :frog: The brackets were modified by the shop that put them on. This is the best picture that I have of the tubes before it was lifted if that helps at all.

Sam,

Thanks for the quick reply. Looks like the typical lost of ground clearance. I wish I could get sliders. :)

Your mods are coming along great Sam!
Unfotunately Shrockworks slider orders can take awhile. I think he makes them in batches.Call him and ask.
