suspension repair input

I am preparing to fix my sons 4runner that suffered a probable LBJ failure. I have a few questions to start and im hoping the attached pictures will help.

To start I am replacing:

-both LBJs with toyota OEM.
-At least the UBJ on the damaged side (do uppers usually fail? is it worth doing both sides?)
-Outer tie rod (silly question but what is the tie rod connected to? I may need to replace that as well since it may have been damaged as well)
-Brake line
-Mystery line (What is the other line that appears to be going to the back of the knuckle?)

is there anything obvious i am missing? Thanks in advance

I would do both upper and lowers and both outter tie rods. The outters are connected to the inner tie rods. I would check those for play and replace if necessary.
The mystery wire is the ABS sensor wire.

All of the parts mentioned should be replaced with OEM for best results

The UBJs require pressing out and in, the rest can be done at home pretty easily with the right tools

Depending on the mileage, you might want to consider UCA/LCA bushings as well, since you will have the UCAs out - it's a good "while you're in there" piece of mind kind of thing

And while you are doing LCA bushings, you might as well do steering rack bushings because you have to loosen and move the steering rack out of the way to get the LCAs out.

And while you are doing that, throw some new sway bar bushings in too - freshen up the whole front end. :thumb:
