Suspension swap, need help

I know this topic is questioned to death and I tried the search but can't find the answers I'm looking for. I want to level my T4R and bought a spacer kit and fj springs. I'm thinking of using bilstiens in front instead but don't know which to get. I have an '04 V8 limited with rear air and xreas( which will be removed). So here's what I need to know;

1) will any year fj bilstien 5100 adjustables fit? (have a tip on 2010 TRDs)
2) is there a difference between stock, TRD, or TT edition bilstiens? I don't want too firm a ride.
3) does it matter if it came from 4x4 or not?
4) will the extra engine weight be ok with the fj coils?

Any help appreciated before I buy the wrong ones. Thanks

Should be the same based on 2 things:
- '10 FJC aftermarket components are the same as other years.
- When looking up OE parts there doesn't appear to be any difference in diagrams or pricing '09 to '10.

Thanks, that's what I was thinking, but there seems to be issues finding a matching pair for the rear that will work with the rear airbags(which I need to keep). I've been searching for rear Bilstiens that will fit because I don't want a mismatched set that will affect ride quality but I'm hearing that they are longer length and will cause problems when the bags are lowered. Anybody have this setup? or know if it will work. The rear 5100 series Billis' part # is F4-BE5-E703-H0 and shows 46mm. Anyone know the lenght of the xreas shocks? (I'd get under my T4R but don't know where to measure from)

I've spent 2 days researching this topic and am no further ahead. I can't be the first with rear air to dump the xreas and swap 5100 front and rear.

If those Bils are listed for a 4Runner you'll be fine. They will be within a few mm of the OE. If you go more than 10-12mm extra you'll have a brakeline issue and the Bilstien lawyers wouldn't let that happen.*** I have the aftermarket airbags in my FJC springs with no issues. When installing them I was overextended a good bit (shock unbolted) and the bag was fine. The line didn't puull, the bag didn't pinch, no issues.

***If you study extended length shocks you'll discover a little bracket mod for the rear brakelines that makes everything ok.


EDIT: I just re-read, you have OE air rear springs... I would unbolt the bottom of the shock and jack it slowly. You'll be able to see if a few extra mm's of extension will hurt.

I'm more concerned about the compressed length over the extended. I believe the HD Billis that guys here have used (without the bags) are about 10mm longer than stock xreas shocks. I'm just unsure if lowering the suspension will compress them to max and then beyond and damage them.

Max compression is controlled by bumpstops, not the shocks.
