Swagman bike rack (pics)

I know this should be in general gear, but gotta let my 3rd gens see first. It's a pretty hardy 3 -bike rack for less than 100 bucks shipped that:

1) you can still tow with rack on hitch
2) may outlast both my bike and 4runner -> solid
3) tilts so you can open the hatch without moving anything
4) lockable

qualifies for 8% bing cash back

the downside.

1) you must remove the 2 screws and entire top plate to gain access to the bikes
2) luckily my top bar is fairly straight, but if you have a smaller frame or full suspension you bike may tilt ass end up. swagman does make a mound that adjusts so you rig stays level, but it isn't as solid and costs 2x as much

built in bike repair stand, integrated locks for the bikes, tilts for rear access even when the bikes are on the rack, and i can fit my future full suspension and my 29er hard tail

Nice! I was looking for a hitch bike rack for the longest time! Couldn't find one with solid reviews for a decent price (didn't feel like spending $200+) so yesterday I ended up coming across a pair of Yakima Lockjaw roof rack bike carriers and got a pretty good deal on them. 2 of them for $150 + Free Yakima Locks with them. I'll be expecting them in the next week! Pretty excited

We got the 4 bike version of that Swagman from Overstock.com for $120ish delivered a couple of years ago.

98, you might want to shop around for a wheel step to go with those roof carriers. I find it enough of a pain to get my whitewater boat strapped down and loading it doesn't require near the precision to load as your bikes will.

working out pretty good. I haven't been able to ride as much as i'd like,but that's another story. my only complaint is that it's a bit heavy and awkward, but that's only because it's so well built.

nice, i might have to pick one up. they are only $80 at Cabela's and there is a Cabela's like 15 miles from me. thanks for the info
