Swap 3rd. Seats for Double Decker...possible ???

***Swap 3rd. Row Seats for Double Decker...possible ???

Is it possible to install the double decker option on a '05/06 4R that has the 3rd. seat option?
I would nevr use the seats, but I do like ther DD option, and I found an '06 that is exactly what I want but it has the 3rd. seat

It would be A LOT of work and parts. It's not just the cargo area that's different, but the second row is different as well. The floor area under the second row might be different as well.

The Double Decker has a hinge piece that attaches behind the second row. Removal of the DD has been discussed here, and the non-DD filler piece is over $100.

4Runners without the third row, the second row seat bottom cushion flips forward and the seat back folds down into the floor. 4Runners with the third row, seat back folds down on the seat bottom and the whole seat flips up and forward towards the front seats.

Wow, good information! I would have never believed it involved the 2nd. row seating.......arrrrgh!


This (third row seats) have got to be the worst option available for the 4R. Totally useless imho!

This was the only Limited available in the Gulf States Region with X-REAS. :bash: Probably a customer order that didn't consumate.
