Swap in a box or source it?

I'm just curious has anyone bought the 3.4l conversion kit from places like yotashop meaning the motor and everything or did you source the parts? The all in one package seems pricey but when I look around here I can't find the emissions components. I've been looking at donor runners but hell everyone I find within 200 miles is a front end collision with a quarter million miles on it.

That's common with the 3.4l but when you think logically about that it makes the perfect swap.
You can get a running high mileage engine cheap and always get a donor truck never a engine alone.
With the money you save on buying a high mileage truck you can put into the engine later when it fails. Or drive it a few year and then have it rebuilt.

Sense you didn't put what you want to swap this engine into I can tell you that with a 1st gen it's a lot of work. With a second gen it's almost bolt in and plug and play.
