sway bar bushing

hey guys, ill be changing the sway bar bushing soon on my truck ,07 sport v6 4x4 and u know it, x reas. first thing is, i have never done this type of work before, also how hard and long do this take? do i have to put my truck on jack stands to do this? or i can do this on my back and truck is on the ground?. also do i need to grease up the new bushings before i put it in?. some guy at my work said if i do that ill have that squeek sound. i really dont mind it since i have a cherrybomb vortex muffler. it will have lil to no effect to the sound of the squeek.
