Sway Bar end links...

I'm using [MENTION=98153]MStudt[/MENTION] quick disco's on the front & [MENTION=18304]pearlj10[/MENTION] on the back, you can't get more solid than these. If you're lifted you'll snap OEM & definitely cheap aftemarket stuff.

I’ve been researching the same. I’m 80% sure the 2nd gen sway bar links are longer than 3rd gen and are recommended to run on ours with a lift.

Can anyone with hands on experience chime in?

I have a 3” lift and switched my front end links to the rear and got OEM replacement 2ng gen rears for the front. I haven’t had them on that long and haven’t left them connected off-road but for regular daily driving they seem to be working well

I run 2nd gen moog front links on the rear and wheel them hard. Wabfab front disconnects. Great but not up to mstudt level and his customer service is horrible.

I followed your advice on this and put 2nd gen rear links on the front of mine. Bought pro forged brand from rockauto.

They are abou 1/2 inch longer and a lot thinner than the moogs I had in there before, we’ll see how they hold up long term

I believe that’s the idea. Just to remove any elements that might limit travel. I’m not gonna be the person to go out and test what parts will limit my suspension travel, but I figure I’m lifted 2” might as well get slightly longer way bar end links.

I think what you are looking at is both sets of new links are 2nd gen rears... the first pic on the gun mat is comparing to stock 3rd gen rear and the next pic is comparing them to stock 3rd gen fronts.

Ok, I have ordered new 2nd gen rear links to go in the front and I will see how that looks.

tips for a newbie

So I just installed 2" spacers in the rear of my '97, everything stock otherwise. I noticed while doing so that my sway bar end links arent looking great, the bushings split open on me while removing them to let the axle drop further to reinstall the springs.
Im wondering if I should just replace the bushings, or if i need to consider longer end links? I hadnt known that was a thing until rummaging through this thread, but with just 2 inches of lift is that something i need to be concerned about?
Also, what is the benefit to disconnecting the sway bar altogether?
Just being a sponge soaking up everyones knowledge...
