sway bar link

the link holding my front sway bar to the A arm broke. I was trying to take it off so the link wouldn't damage anything until my new link comes in. (taking it off would be ok right?) Anyways I applied PB to it yesterday. The link is held on by a bolt with a hex on the nut end. Anyways the PB helped but I stripped the hex with about four threads still showing on the bolt. I can

you will be fine, I havent had my front sway bar connect for about a year now.

Just make sure that you remember its NOT THERE, and dont drive like your in sportscar.

To answer your question, yes there is another way to get this off. The opposite side of that bolt is seemingly a round bolt head, but the head actually has a couple of notches so that you can stick a wrench (12mm I think? Not sure) back there. Try that.

Also, I hope you didn't order anther OEM, because those things look like popsicle sticks. Order them from wabfab.org He makes some STOUT quick disconnects. Highly recommended.

i had the same problem and gave up, i bought new links on ebay and tried to replace them my self but stripped the hex trying to get the old ones out, so i gave in and brought it to a shop, they only charged me 35 bucks to take the old ones out and put the new ones in, the mechanic said he had to hack saw the old ones off. hope you figure it out.
