I have a 1997 4runner (base model/5 speed manual). Did sway bars come stock with the 3rd gen 4Runners? Just wondering. Handling in the time that I've my truck seems good but I'm looking into switching over to 16" or 17" wheels with larger tires and was wondering how that will effect my turning/handling. I do a lot of highway driving to and from college and don't want to be TOO top heavy driving 75+ mph.
I see a lot of really awesome looking 4runners on this site that are lifted up with huge mud tires and was wondering if you guys take off your sway bars, keep the same (if it came stock) or upgrade to more heavy-duty ones to compensate for the increased height? (Sorry if this is a dumb question!)
