Swing out tire carriers in UK

For anyone interested in these, I found a company selling them on ebay. Apparently they have 10 available. The currency conversion works out to be ib the US$335 range.

Shame they don't have actual pics of the product, instead they show an 80. I'm going to email them and ask for details and hopefully some pics.

If your not sure what the hell I'm talking about, it's a JDM option for carrying the spare on a swing out frame rather than underneath the vehicle.

I've found out that the reinforcing is simply two brackets with captive nuts that fit inside the body panel. I'm assuming that they probably won't come with the carrier, but I think they'll be pretty easy to fab up. I know the factory parts are available still too, just got to find a friendly dealer parts dept that will help me get them.
I'm hoping this kit has everything including all the tailgate parts too.

Well, emailed the seller asking about pictures, shipping and/or sourcing them in this country, and got a one line reply saying they don't ship to the US because of insurance reasons. Whatever that means I don't know. Oh well, unless you have contacts in the UK, then this lead is dead. Sorry if I got your hopes up.

You should ask them if it comes with the block off plate for the licence plate hole and the licence plate box to relocate the plate.

Hilux Surf SSR-G's in Japan come factory with the rear tire carrier. I wish they didn't though cause I want an SSR-G but I hate the rear tire mount.

Not sure if anyone noticed it or not, the left side of the rear spoiler has a mirror that flips out when you put the vehicle in reverse. That's a feature on the SSR-G. Wish they had that mirror in North America.
