Switching To High Mileage Oil

Okay ive been using regular oil and deciding to switch over to valvoline maxlife. from what i see its a semi synthetic oil. i am currently unaware of any leaks but by using this will it unclog possible leaks that have already been there?

Well "Semi-Synthetic" is basically the same as "Semi-Pregnant" there is really no such thing.
In fact many of the so called full synthetics are not really 100% synthetic.

I am not really sure what detergent package the Valvoline Maxlife has but I seriously doubt you will have any problems.
Personally if I were you I would try one of the real synthetics like either Red Line or Amsoil.

It is your nickel but you will not get any more mileage out of it. I have over 265,000 on mine with regular oil and it is fine and I might change it once a year if that.
