Switching to synthetic?

My runner is about to hit 148k on the clock and I want to change my oil to synthetic. What oil should i pick? Any problems that I should watch out for? 2000 runner 3.4 auto 148K

Why do you want to switch now? If you have that many miles and it grew up on good Dino oil I would just stick with what it grew up on. Although I don't think it will have any ill effects if you do switch.

Nothing to worry about. Just pick same weight as recomeded by user manual. Most people here use Mobil-1 .

Mobile 1 full synthetic also gets my vote. Use it in both trucks and they purr smoothly. I also use the OEM filter and no problems.
