SWIX Steering Wheel Remote Device

I returned my SWIX device today. After reading thru the documentation, I discovered that you only gain control of the Volume and not the Channel or Mode function. I figured that spending $ 69 for 1 of three functions was not worth it. Did I read the instructions wrong?

I mounted my roady on the front side od the dash just above the glove comparment the bracket comes with 2 face tape seems to be holding good as for the antenna i put it top, center rear of roof there is a gromet where the brake light wires go through i ran it there and the magnet is very strong it holds well then ran the wire along the drivers side if the headliner and down the a pillar all hidden and the xm works great

I have a rear factory spoiler/wind deflector. BTW the deflector does not provide a wind curtian to shield the rotten egg smell. So the 3rd brake light is mounted inside of this. I will have to figure that one out for myself. I am still going to try and mount the receiver in the flip-out-portion of the arm rest. I let you know how things turn out. I just want the freakin thing in my hands.

roady

its worth the wait I waited 2 week got it from ebay $130.50 with shipping and a remote was a great deal

You can pretty much control any button that the remote for your head unit has. I had the SWIX in my Rover and it worked well, it wasn't mounted in the best spot though so it didn't always work right away. With a good mounting position it would work great.

I guess I read the instructions incorrectly. Maybe I will pick another one up and try it out. Thanks, everyone, for clearing this issue up.
