sylvania silverstar ultra lights?

Ok well i did my research about hid lights, and it seems like im sticking with the Halogen lights. i have the silver star ultras still, but i still want that bluish color, but not super blue. i bought a set of halogen bulbs on ebay and it said 5900K on the box, and i could barely see SH**! i ll get a picture up of them when i swap them out with the crappy ones, or ill try too.
 
I'm tellin you man, go with the texon bulbs, you will be satisfied! Here are some pics of them in my dad's truck:

Hell yeah man, I'd let you off the hook! Haven't decided if I want to be a state trooper or work my local PD yet... decisions decisions...

How many watts are those in the Tundra?....and did you upgrade the harness?..or the the stock wiring harness would be ok?..thanks..

what color temp are they, do they give out good light, and where did you get them?
 
I don't know about the different color packaging, but I do like my Ultra Silverstars. For the bad winter, if I remember correctly, the white is better compared to the blues. Although the blues look cooler...

And hey, RGD... I've been up in Redding the past two weekends usually standing in the middle of the Lower Sac waving a stick during the day and eating peanuts at Logans at night. Playing with the idea of heading back up this weekend.

if i had to be one it would defiantly be the Trooper, but then again if i lived in a pretty small, nice, safe community i'd be local PD for sure.

the texons do look nice. if they give more light then Luminics Pure Blue then i'm gonna order them. And should i get the 100/90 or the 60/55W? I know factory is like 55W so wouldnt the 100/90 be alot brigther?

I've joined the Troopers here in Colorado, academy starts in January, and I dont think there is anything against HID's... But I'll have to ask some of the seasoned Troopers...

I went with the stock wattage, so no wiring had to be upgraded.

6 or 8k maybe? Got them from www.texonstore.com and the lightoutput is very good.

Yeah at first I ordered my dad some luminics pire blue and he hated them, ordered the texon and he liked them, so yeah they are definitely brighter. If you went with 100/90 watt bulbs you might have to upgrade your wiring harness first.

oh boy the Fly Fishing is amazing up here i haven't been out for a couple years now my SAGE is just sitting there looking at me every time i leave my garage. the flows out of keswick are weird with Shasta being as low as it is but year. and sorry for all of the construction around this town Like Hilltop! and all of the bridge crossings. but it will be nice soon.

Hey theres nothing wrong with having some bright headlights...especially if your on the trails at night...I have PIAA all around in my headlights and in my stock fog lights and they work great...They were a little more expensive than most silverstars, but definitely worth it...I just ordered them off the website...
 
I Have to sylvania silverstar ultras on my 4runner and they are just fine they arnt too bright while on the road with the low beams on but once i hit the high beams i see Everything.


Look in Pic below those are the new headlights

mine are not that blueish looking mitch, mine are really more of a yellowy look.

still trying to decide if i should get the TEXONs for 15 dollars or buy the PIAA h4 from advanced auto parts, they are 40 bucks though.
 
alright then i'll order them, just as long as there blue but not pure blue like the luminics

Do you currently have the regular Silverstars or the Ultras?
 
first i had the regular silverstars now i have the ultras. def. better than stock bulbs but i cant really remember the difference between the two silverstars according to sylvania theres only a 100K difference between the two.
