sylvania silverstar ultra lights?

i want to get these sylvania silverstar ultra. my question is that there are two different packaging, one is and orange package and one is a blue package. what is the difference? i want that blue light look, like the HID Lights, i would buy some, but i heard that the kits dont get along with the 4runners. or if any of you have any other suggestions on what lights that are bright blue lights? thanks

silver star ultras have a bright white. The regular silvar stars have the bluish tint.

well i want those lights like when you are driving on the opposite direction and see a car with a bluish white light but its super bright, and u think that the car has its brights on but he doesn't. any suggestions? by the way i bought the sylvania silversttar ultras, and they are just a brighter bulb, or "whiter" i guess but again i am looking for that blue look, but not illegal blue.

Its worth the money to spend to get HID's. I got mine from fashtek.com. Make sure you get the dual beam H4's...i chose the 8000k because i like the blue look and it puts out alot of light as well. Let me know what you decide

You want HID's man. Just remember they are illegal, but a lot of people still have them. It would be best to retro fit.

If your not wanting to go the HID route, but you want a blueish look. Go with the Luminics Pure Blue bulbs. Silverstar bulbs will not give you a blueish tint.

but remeber the pure blue is not a good choice if you ever live outside a city. i do alot of driving on roads w/ no light and had a hard time seeing with the pure blues, but in the city it was just fine so really its up to the driver.

i think i might try to titanium white luminics bulbs, looks a little brighter but still has a blue tint opposed to a straight up blue light

I tried the titanium white in my dad's 07 tundra, they are TERRIBLE.

Try the Texon blue white halogens, I put those in my dad's truck, mom's MDX, girlfriends integra, and 4 other friends ordered them as well.

you want HID's with your stock headlights? HID's aren't ment to be without projectors, I honestly hate drivers like you. Blinding others isn't a great or safe idea.

I agree with seevik, although I don't hate you. HIDs in cars that are not meant to have HIDs and have not been retrofitted are distracting to oncoming traffic even without looking directly at your lights. This is why all cars with factory HIDs have projector headlights, and seeing as how your 4Runner does not you (and others) do not have the correct set up to run a High Intensity bulb without the glare blinding oncoming traffic.

nope, nobody makes aftermarket projectors for 4runners. you could retrofit, ie, make your own which will be expensive and time consuming. i would suggest maybe just upgrading your wiring harness and getting a set of bulbs with a higher wattage that are the bluish white color.

Yeah those LED light bars are extremely bright, but very safe for the officer, you can see them from quite a far distance. That's awesome your a police officer, that's what I'm wanting to do! :bigok:

well here where i live HID's are the last thing i care about ive seen some lifted truck with HID's and they didn't re-aim their headlights i see that as a problem because if is blinding but ive seen quite a few others with HID's in just a regular reflector housing that are fine. I don't necessarily know its against the law in CA to have HID's. there's always two sides to most, non violent crimes, laws.
