Synthetic oil

Any thoughts on Royal Purple syhtnetic 5W30 oil?
Its API service SL appproved. I used it on my last oil change and got better throttle response. I live in the Northeast where you get alot of cold mornings, and it starts much better in the cold. Claims to help with fuel efficiency, haven't noticed that.

Any synthetic oil will be good for it. To get increased mileage, you'll notice the most with a 0w-30 synthetic oil. Also, if you are regularly indulging in your newfound throttle response, I doubt you will see any increase in mileage. I perfer to use Amsoil synthetic, but I haven't heard anything bad about Royal Purple.

i used RP 10W-30 and it showed good oil analysis for the time that I ran it. Ive been trying other things since but the RP seemed to increase MPG and still showed good wear. Only thing is, it sheers to more like a 20wt oil after a long time so its not recommended for longer oil change intervals. I was concerned with that sheering and chose to run the 10W30. Probably a max of about 10K miles.

i ran mine to about 5000.
