T&H Euro bar advice....

My stepson who is a painter for Toyota/Honda specialty shop was looking at the T&H bar I wanted in stainless.

Well 1st he said those bar's can do more damage than good if hit.

His second suggestion was to buy the black one , and he would colormatch Galatica Gray and spray it and clear the hell out of it.
What's your thought's on a color matched front bar ??? or should I just go stainless ????

What about a black 4R.....SS or Black?
Sometimes I think SS looks really classy and sometimes I think it looks a little foo foo.

Kinda depends on if you have any other SS or chrome accents on your car. If you do I'd say go for the stainless, if not black would look mean. You're pretty much in a win, win situation though.

Josh , the color matched Safari bar look's great IMO.

Never gave the Safari bar much thought , might have to check that one out too.

He is partly right in regards to it doing more damage in a crash. In a high speed crash, the bar will be pushed into your bumper or hood causing some damage. In a low speed bump like parallel parking or a nudge in a parking lot it can save your plastic bumper from expensive damage. I'd rather replace the 200-400 bar than pay a shop 1000-2000 to replace the bumper and repaint.

Why don't you get the stainless steel version and have your stepson paint it? Best of both worlds. The SS will resist rust better as well as being color matched to your vehicle.

I don't know if stainless will match the smoked chrome grille and headlamp bezels. But I have not seen the smoked in person yet. Color matched might be better.

That's kind of what I was wondering about. WhiteRunner has a stainless on his Titanium Silver and it look's damn good . Even with the smoked grill.

Are any of these bars 1 piece? From the Westin instructions .. it looks like a bar and two brackets.
