T4r 1/4 Mile Times

just curious.
i am awaiting delivery of my 09 sport v-8 4x4.
this is my first runr and i was reading that it does a 15.2 quater.
i am surprised for a vehicle of this weight and 260hp that it will run that stock.
anyone have some times, stock or mods.

Low to mid 15s is where they run but even the V6 is only a tick behind. The RAV4 does the 1/4 in 14.7 matching the monster Tundra.

It just makes me sad to know a RAV4 could take me from a light, even if I had a V-8. :( :mad:
 
*shrug* Dunno 'bout you guys but I didn't buy my 4Runner to be a dragster. I bought it to go where I wanna go when I wanna go w/o having to worry too much about road/off-road conditions.

If I wanted a race car I'd get a Tesla, Enzo, Elise, etc, it's a truck, not a sports car.

Now, back to getting these 44" tires on my Enzo... Hey does anyone know a place that makes some undercarriage armor for an Enzo? Thinking something like 1/8-1/4" thick...will also have to regear as well with the 44" tires I suppose...

Hey,it's ok that 14.7 also matches what a '00 Integra Type R (whcih was considered quite fast from a NA 4banger back then) was doing at the turn of the century but the RAV4 does pack 269hp in a vehicle that shaves 1000+lbs off a 4Runner which is at 4500lbs itself.

So,in other words you'll never own a sports car or am I missing that you can afford an Enzo? ;):

It's ok to know what your truck does in the 1/4 mile and that doesn't mean it's going to the strip but I did run mine in bracket competition at a truck fest and my 4Runner was 6 seconds slower than my modded AWD Eclipse and I almost fell asleep during it's nearly 19 second run. :sleep: :sleep: :sleep:

I did have fun hanging with the few Toyota guys that showed up.

This is more like it and he was running 15.7s up here at 5800ft asl with a simple intake and exhaust so that's a solid 14.7-14.9 down at sea level.

i am well aware that the 4runr is not made for the track.
i was just surprised that the numbers i read had it at 15.2 for a new v-8. my soon to be ex ford sport trac does 16.2 with at least 25 more h/p.
i didn't get a new 4runr for it's neck breaking speed :D
