T4r 2007, How To Install Hid Kit In The Fog Lights???

Few days ago change my factory lights and installed a Hid xenon conversion kit in my 2007 4Runner went for the 6000k kit.

Now I want to change my fog lights for 6000k as well but how do you remove and install the fog lights???

Also how to adjust height on the low beam?

Ok so first of all it very simple for intalling, but do you need a 6000k kit cuz i will sell you my nice kit from xenondepot for cheap that worked perfectly for my fogs. Reason being, Im getting a shrockworks bumper.

Now for install it is as simple as remove for old bulb from it harness a plug in the ballast to the harness. Then just plug the hid bulb into the ballasts harness and put the bulb into the housing.

How do you get to the back of the light to change the bulbs? From underneath or from a fender liner or ????

Just remove the rubber covering (both sides) near the bumper. Flashlight is your friend.

those HIDs are going to get pretty hot in the fog light housing.... Saw a set in my buddys Tacoma and it looks like the housing is melting.

not if you get 35w

As long as you use a quality 35W HID kit you will not have any issues as a 35W HID bulb will not burn significantly hotter than a 55W halogen bulb.

If you want to take off the fog, just get under the bumper and look at it from the back. I had two screws holding the foglight, and one for the signal, on my 04, and a little clip between the two. I don't think you need to take it off for hid install though. You could get to it from underneath, or trough the wheelwell

What a great idea. How long do these HID setups last though? Early on, the HID bulbs were needing to be replaced every 3-66 months according to some of the Ricer racer guys. That is the main reason I have not gone HID.

You can get to the fogs through the bumper without having to remove anything. Just move the rubber sheet to the side and you can fit your hand in no problem
