also the differental on my car is busted. idk whats wrong with it because the car feels perfectlly fine. but the dealer said that it might give out at any moment. so i wanted to know what was the cost of replacing it with a new one or getting a used one from a junkyard and having it switched out

no the dealer already sold me the car he just told me that it was such a low price because of that problem im not gonna go to the dealer to fix it

nope no leakage at all and yeah its the 4x4 SR5 model. idk but the price on it was 650 dollers because of the differental thats what the dealer said. and it wasnt me who bought it it was my dad i just payed for it lol. and also there's no noise or ratteling from the back

and my dad said the gears inside might be worn out. so it could be that. it drives perfectlly fine i drove it home but my dad wont let me drive it untill i replace or fix the differantal so i need to know the cost

Have you tried to put it in 4x4? Maybe it's the front diff he was talking about (which is harder to remove). If you paid $650 for the truck you scored. Junk yard diffs are a couple hundred and labor would be about $200-500 I'd guess depending on rear or front. If you plan on wheeling it and it's the rear diff, you could try to find an elocker 3rd on CL or ebay. Usually they go for $400-650.

i did put it in 4x4 and it ran. i only moved it foward and backwords but it moved. and its the rear one. im 100 percent shure about that. and nope no 4 wheeling for me. the only thiing is whenn -i moved the gear stick back (is thats what its called? idk the thing you use to turn on 4x4) and i moved it 2 spaces back it started shaking and when i let it go it stoped shaking. is that normal? i dont really know as this is my first car ever
