It could be from one of the spam users. Right now "sujlemariecj" is spamming by copying fragments of a previous post and adding invisible (or maybe they are just blocked where I am) images which may download malware to your computer. Or they might just track you. He's had a few other usernames in the past, but he's always from London and he always does his spamming very early in the morning in my timezone (between Midnight and 6am).

Next time you get a virus, figure out which page or thread caused it, and that can help track down the problem. Make sure you are using a secure browser, and I highly recommend blocking malware using an extension called Adblock Plus and the Malware Protection list. The Flashblock extension is good, too, since it protects against invisible (or visible) flash player objects.

it happens on a daily and we as moderators have literally deleted thousands of those types of usernames
He is I beding a url in his replys but they can only be seen if you hit the "quote" button. Then when it copy's his post you can see the hidden link. He is going by riziuebru at the moment. I wish we could find a way to make these guys fingers fuse together like one big mitten so they could no longer use a keyboard.

A lot of forums have ways of dealing with spammers, but many of them cause some inconvenience for actual users. This is one of the worse ones I've seen in terms of spammers showing up, and I don't think it's because the mods aren't doing their job.
Maybe disallowing images and/or links with the [ img ] tag until users have a certain number of posts would help. Legitimate new users could still attach images, but the spammer accounts could be turned off before they spam their spam.
There's a browser extension called AdBlock Plus available for most browsers. It's intended to block ads, but if you don't mind ads that support all the free websites you visit, there's a Malware Protection list that only blocks malware. You can select only that list and you'll never notice anything different. That might offer some protection, but I doubt it's as good as antivirus software.
At work they block anything that's hosted outside the US. It's a bit extreme, but it does seem to help with stuff like this since it's harder to find a US hosting provider that will put up with spammers, versus elsewhere in the world.
Note that even though these spammers might be posting invisible images, they can set the server to send you whatever they want. They could embed a virus (not sure if there's a way to do that), or later on they could switch it so the images are visible spam.

This is especially weird. The above user quoted [MENTION=64685]TOY2G[/MENTION] word for word, as well as putting his location as "london" which M85 said was the location of the previous spammers. Additionally he made an account and then posted within 3 minutes in 4 different threads (I would assume also quoting what someone else said). That seems to be inline with the suggested method of requiring so many posts to post an image.
I always assumed the spammers were just some kind of sophisticated bot, but obviously the one who just posted (kovhanperl) read this thread and seems to have trolled it too... kinda interesting.

ChildrenOfBodom, I know you're a member on Supramania as well. I know when I signed up for that forum there was a waiting time where you had to wait for a moderator to approve your account. I assume it is still like that, and I've never seen any spam issues with that forum.
I know that T4R seems many multiples of the amount of traffic that Supramania sees, but maybe something like this could be added? I'm not really sure how you could identify the real users from the spammers, but it's just a thought.
