Ok, but they didn't do that work to those Celicas, and who cares what they sound like?

Of course a supercharged V6 beat out a little 4banger Celica in a straight shot. Take them to a road course and see who beats who, though... :rolleyes:
 
i just dont understand the idea of racing an SUV i guess pick your poison but if i was in the racing seen i wouldnt be in a 4runner.
 
I'd take a RAV4 and beat both of them;14.7s in the 1/4 mile,that's as quick as an FR-S. Those Celica's with a 5 speed could be run down in the low 15 second range which is a tad quicker than a stock v8 4th gen so of course a blown v6 or v8 would win.

Not really impressive unless you'd be impressed with me beating up 3rd graders.

I personally would be very impressed if you were able to beat up a heard of 3rd graders.
 
Yes these vehicles are not exactly slow but then again a Celica isn't me idea of fast unless it's doing Pikes Peak. I was pleasantly surprised to see that the V8 will run with S2000 and Z33 without being left. This kept me in a 4runner knowing they had that much power. Plenty of different types of vehicles are raced. It's not un-human to want to push something to the breaking points or rebel and be different.
