Time for the bastard son of the 4Runner to have its time in the sun again.. That's right 2nd gens are up again... Lets get some nominations this time around!

As usual:
- One nomination or second (not both) per member
- If you're the first to nominate a member please post a picture and link to their build thread.
- If they don't have a build thread please try to provide a link to somewhere with more pics/info about his/her ride.

So can we get a list of the 2nd gens that have won lol. They're arn't many builds to choose from in the master build thread.
 
Sorry for my ignorance, but why is the 2nd gen runner not up to par with the rest? What are the common issues that come along with the 2nd?

They're ugly, they almost always came with the 3.0 V6 which is known to have head gasket problems and they're underpowered, they had IFS, and they're ugly.

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder, my boy (or beer holder, as the case may be--LOL). Personally I think the 2nd Gen is the best looking one of the bunch. And who are you to talk anyway--you have a 3rd Gen, which is practically identical to the 2nd Gen looks-wise! Agreed on the Tonka-toy engine, though.

Not to mention Connor's HG problems :lmao:
 
im gonna second 92sr5 he has a good build, and put a lot of blood sweat and tears into that truck, plus he also helps out not only on the forum, but other people in his local area, being in search and rescue... his truck gets used and is built around its uses.
 
I love Mario's truck too, but I agree with the zop-meister. Let's keep it to members that are at least semi-active.

I'll nominate FootofGod's Minnow, because that yellow is just hideous. Goes well with the rest of the truck. :moon:
