Had my air bag replaced today. Took about 2 and a half hours.
FYI, if you don't want your vehicle to sit on a lot, exposed to the weather, Toyota started a new program last January. They record your mileage and you sign a release that you will not drive the vehicle and they let you take it home until it is called.
I haggled with Toyota most of last winter because I need a 4 whd capable of carrying 4 adults and an infant seat. I also pull a trailer with my 4R to haul firewood, building supplies, etc. Their loaner was either a sedan or a mini-suv. A friend at the local dealership suggested a mini-truck, 4whd, 4 door, which had never occurred to me. After several unsuccessful attempts to secure a loaner he contacted the service manager at the dealership, who made arrangements with the local Enterprise Rent-a-Car(Toyota will allow up to $35/day for a rental). They promised me a small 4wd, 4door pickup. He must be a good negotiator because I ended up with a full size Ford F150XLT, 4 door, 4wd. Since then I have put 8,000 plus miles on the Ford while my 4R stayed parked in my garage. I am one very satisfied Customer!
