So I am following the install instructions for the taco whip mod here, The "Taco" Whip Antenna Mod but I am not installing the taco antenna. I am getting a universal from AutoZone that I know has threads that will fit (from other posts) and looks decent.
The instructions at the included URL talk about taking out the radio antenna, installing the new etc. Has anyone installed the AutoZone antenna and if they did, did you just screw it in, or did you have to splice in the old antenna cable? I am doing this mod cuz the teeth broke off my antenna and it is so annoying.
Also, does anyone know if the back of the limited 6 disk changer radio set up has an aux, rca, etc hook up in back to install an ipod cable?

I'll be posting pics for the first time after this "mod" don't get excited though, shes bone stock as of now.
