Tacoma ARB bumper questions...

I have been looking around at front bumpers for some time and think I will go with the ARB Tacoma one. I like the plate style vs the tube, and ARB seems to have the best price.

I have some questions;

What is the weight of the bumper? One place said 78lbs and the other said 130lbs.

What does my factory bumper weigh? I recently installed OME 881's and TO spacers (Toytec) and dont want to sack out the front end. I will not be installing a winch at this time, just the bumper.

I cant seem to find anything used. Everytime one pops up its on the east coast and makes shipping rediculous. I will be calling ARB direct since they are only a rew hours from me to see if any scratch and dents are lying around. The best price I have seen is through 4wheelparts for $766 shipped and includes a $50 gift card. Can I find it cheaper?

Lastly, I have a 99' with the fatlip chrome bumper in great condition. No dents or scatches and has one brand new turn signal housing. What could I sell it for?

Little update, called 4WP and they can do it for $728 OTD w/o a gift card.

Ok factory bumper is about 38-40lbs. The price from 4wheelparts is probably the best. You might want to check on the shipping through them unless you were talking about picking it up in store to get the free shipping. Other sources you might want to check that I believe are close to you would be Sierra Expeditions or Wheelers Offroad, you can also check with Cruiser Outfitters. There was also a guy on another forum that got one from Advantage Tire near Medford, OR for $750 range

All of the above info sound about right. id say its about 80 lbs, and the stock one is probably 25 lbs.


Mine was super heavy with the winch and steel cable and roller fairlead.... Approaching 150 lbs. Im sure its around 130lbs with the new synthetic line.

and as for the price that pretty good. Just check it when you get it. I got mine from 4wheel parts and it came with a giant dent in it! i had to return it and wait for another one

Go on Ih8mud.com and refresh the page a few times if needed. They have an ad on there that says you get a free pair of IPF lights with the purchase of any ARB Bullbar from 4wheelparts. I told jsmithjr732 about it after he got his ARB and 4WP had to honor it. It would be illegal for them not to. They were going to have ih8mud pull the ad, but it's still up there as of today. Those lights are worth ~$170 - much better than a $50 gift card.
