with 33's on my 99 the brakes leave a lot to be desired. i was wondering if the rotors and calipers from the same year tacoma would bolt directly onto my runner. i have a 99 SR5 4wd that came stock with the 15 inch wheels. any info could be great

If your gonna go as far as to change rotors and calipers go with Tundra brake upgrade. There you have a choice of 199mm or 231mm. I did 199mm's and i have no problems of warping or anything of the sort, plus they stop the car great. If you have the tacoma brakes I believe its a straight up swap as long as the wheels are bigger than 15" to clear the calipers.

For me it was just a straight up swap and bolt on, well worth it as i have a ton of hills to descend and well 1st gear isnt exactly a slow gear. Well i think I had to bend the disk shield a teeny tiny bit to fit the caliper but nothing out of the norm from what others have had to do on the same project.

very very easy to do, Rock Slide did a great write up.

I'm running 231mm's and love it! I cut down the dust shield a little, other than that they bolt right on, I went with aftermarket rims. I don't think the 15's will clear the 231 calipers though...

Here's some pictures of my install...

You can even look for the stock calipers on some SR5 and Limited 4runners that came with 16" wheels, but these will not fit your 15" wheels either
