tacoma grill in 4 runner

Has anyone put a billet grill for a tacoma in a 4 runner? I did a search but found nothing. I know the hood and grilles are different but the center part looks to be the same.

why not just put a billet grill for the 4runner in? the taco grille might have a different hood opening mech. & need alot of modding.

Do they have a one piece "full" one like a tacoma? I dont like the two piece. I have looked but cant find one.

dosnt look as good as the tacoma. so is there a difference? i could put on a tacoma hood latch. bothe grill openings look the same it looks like the hood is the only diference since the runner dosnt have the triangle pieces.

i dont think its possible to mod the taco grille for the 4r, but maybe you can buy the billet material & fab a 1 piece insert similar to a satosi mod. heres a link for different grille picks. http://www.toyota-4runner.org/accessories/5048-4th-gen-grill-replacements-inserts.html

The Tacoma grille (assuming you're talking about the 2nd gen) is attached to the headlights and not on the hood like the 4Runner's. It doesn't come up with the hood, when the hood is raised.

For what its worth, I modded an 06 grill on my 04. It was a huge PITA. It took me weeks to finish it. I also lost the secondary hood lock latch feature. Its 50 bucks to get the longer 06 one, and I have to figure out how to mount the bracket to the hood. Probably JB weld...I dunno. One day, I might get a color keyed grill and do it all over now that I know what I'm doing. But if it took that much work to change from the 06 to 04. I doubt it would be possible from the tacoma to 4runner.

screw it anyone know where to get good quality mesh or the billet used for grilles. im sure someone sells in in stock?
