Tail Lamp Lens Replacement

Any DIY's out there / advice re replacing a chipped / broken tail lamp assembly on a 2000 4R SR5? I'd gathered from other posts that I'll have to replace the whole unit instead of just the lens, one thought is if I buy the OEM part assembly will it likely include the gasket?

Thank You! :lookout:

What gasket? It is all one sealed unit.

DIY: Remove two screws.
Push to the outside--90°to the path of travel to remove. Any other direction will break something. Just hit the inside black piece with your fist or a rubber mallet if needed. Twist each bulb socket to remove. Remember where they go, or you will end up with bulbs in the wrong place.

Install--reverse of above.

Oh, yeah, you need to open the tailgate first.

I have a set of original OEM rear lights from my 1999 Limited that i planned to sell. I replaced them years ago with LED's from Burtman Industries 4 years ago.

[EDIT: These lights have been SOLD.]
