Tail light guards rubbing trunk door

Hi all,
I have a set of tail light guards I installed and when closing the rear trunk it ever so slightly scrapes against the tail light guard attachmants chipping the paint on the rear hatch. Its so tiny I don't mind I just worry about it rusting out. Any advice? Thanks!

Mine needed a bit of adjustment before they fit how I wanted them to, which meant taking them on and off a dozen or two times. It turned out that part of the problem was that there just wasn't quite enough thread left on the stock hardware to properly seat itself once it had to deal with the extra bulk of the taillight guard. A quick Home Depot trip for some slightly longer grade 8 bolts and now everything fits great.

+1, about as useful as 'brush guards' and they look even more silly! kinda "wanna be" sorry, but it is My opinion.... :cowboy:
