tail light lens removal

The wife owns a 2001 4runner and has a bad brake light. I cant get the tail light assembly off the vehicle. I see two screws when I open the tailgate but still there must be something holding the assembly on as it wont come off. Anyone?

after those screws, i think you need to slide the assembly to the side to undo it.

there is a pin on the assembly, which sticks into the side of the car...ie right tail light, if your looking at the rear of the truck it sticks into the right side of the car....once the screws are removed, wiggle the light towards the right of the car, and it will pop out
