Tail Light Question

hey i'm thinking of upgrading my taillights but cant decide what i should do. Help/suggestions are greatly appreciated. My lens is actually cracked but hasnt leaked yet. I want to change them to get rid of the crack and for a little more style.

IMO, these would look good on your runner with clear corners and bumper lenses up front (if you don't already have them)

Those are nice looking taillight, it would be perfect in my t4r, unfortunately its very much illegal here, It really sucks! but you got to abide the law.

I have the chrome altezzas, and my 4runner is desert dune metallic, looks like yours, I love the look, I'll post a pic later.

I agree with ku_meche... the 02 tail light will brighten up the rear and give a classy/clean look to your limited. Post some pics if you end up gettin em.

Those are nice looking taillight, it would be perfect in my t4r, unfortunately its very much illegal here, It really sucks! but you got to abide the law.

In most states clear lens users don't get harrassed too much as long as they have a red bulb behind them;the problem that is in the law does state that the lens itself must reflect red when turned off since at night;your Runner parked might not be as quickly seen w/o a red reflector in it's tails.

IMO,the clear lens trend went out about 5 years ago when even the Civic kids were moving on.

I think the '01+ tails are the nicest. There is some re-wiring you have to do with the newer tails but no biggie.

Well seeing as how I just recently came from the "civic scene". All of the civic kids have stopped using clear corners too so I guess you should ditch those too.

IMO, its not about whats out or whats in, its about what looks good. If you do not like the clear lenses thats fine, but who really cares if they are not "in."

Clears corners don't attract the attention of the police the way clear tails do. Most state laws don't have laws concerning corners except the light being emitted must be amber.

I'm also trying to help a fellow member avoid issues if they live in a state that applies and I just gave my opinion just like you just gave your's.

i understand that you are entitled to your opinion, but I just wanted to explain that the original poster should buy whatever tails he likes no matter whats "in"
