Recently my tailgate window switch on the dash stopped working the window. YES, I MADE SURE IT WAS NOT THE WINDOW LOCK!. Also after reading through other posts regarding this I checked the wiper...it appears to be completely in the down position. Next I tried the key in the lock to make sure the window was all the way up...it was (however this step will lead me to the next problem). Finally I tried the "reset" by turning on the defroster (which worked), the rear wiper (which did not work) and using the switch on the dash both up and down (didn't work). Because the wiper didn't turn on I tried the fluid and it did squirt out washer fluid. Is the most likely problem the relay and if so, is that the big board under the plastic cover on the tailgate? Also, the second problem....when I used the key in the tailgate lock the 3rd or 4th time the entire lock pushed into the tailgate. I took the tailgate apart to get to it and it looks like the plastic "ears" that the screws go into to hold the lock in place cracked. Any idea how to fix it and what part do I need. Sorry for the lengthy post. It's my 1st one and I hope I didn't screw up.
